The following narrative was written by Justen Rambo, who plays the Prince of Bavaria for St. Wolfgang's
Friday night kicked off with a knighting ceremony for the citizens of Sherwood who have gone above and beyond the call of duty within the community. They were recognized by King Richard, The Duke of Bavaria, Prince Wilhelm and Princess Renata, and other nobles of the court, and knighted by the Maid Marian Court. Then the surrounding neighborhoods were treated by a small teaser parade from us, with all inviting them to come down and join us the next day. Thank you Don, for once again providing your truck driving expertise. Saturday kicked off with the morning parade at 10:00 am. Then there was one adventure after another. The Olde World Puppet Theatre performed All In A Knight's Work (which brought the house down), and four tales from the legends of Robin Hood were preformed in the street, much to the crowds' delight. The Duke went shopping as usual, as did the rest of the court. We were also delighted to be joined once again by our Head of Household, Amanda, as well as Magda the Gypsy Queen, Shaharazad, and two other gypsies they picked up along their journey. We ended our fun by preforming Cap'n Collins and the Mermaid. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Phillip McGuigan, the president of the Robin Hood Days, and also Alice Thornton who prepared and organized a fabulous feast for us on Saturday.
