2002 Gig Harbor Renaissance Faire - First Weekend

We returned once again to the first weekend of the Washington Renaissance Fantasy Faire in Gig Harbor Washington, the weekend of August 3 & 4, 2002. This two-weekend faire is one of the most looked forward to events of the faire season for the members of St. Wolfgangs. I used to wonder why Ron Cleveland, the faire organizer, held the faire on two consecutive weekends. The simple truth is that if it rains, as it did on Sunday, and you only were open one weekend, you'd soon go bust. By holding it on four days over two weekends, you have a much better chance of having most of the days be sunny and nice for the paying public -- like this year when the second weekend was nice throughout. We're having a test of skill among those who went to Gig Harbor this year. It's called "Guess the Breast".
