2001 Gig Harbor Renaissance Faire - First Weekend

We returned once again to the first weekend of the Washington Renaissance Fantasy Faire in Gig Harbor Washington, the weekend of August 4 & 5, 2001. This two-weekend faire is one of the most looked forward to events of the faire season for the members of St. Wolfgangs.

The setup crew arrived on the Thursday evening preceeding the event, and already many of the performers and vendors were set up and ready to go. We set up on Friday, finishing just before dark.

The weather was "iffy" with showers keeping us huddled under our tents for brief periods, but they would soon pass on to other areas. Saturday and Sunday were both cloudy, but no rain fell until after the paying guests left.

Sunday night we took down the decorations and stored them along with the furniture in the truck and the stout and sturdy kitchen tent in case nasty weather hit during the week between faires.
